Congratulations to Stephanie Mak for being crowned Miss Congeniality at the Sime Darby Convention Centre last Friday. She also came in as 2nd runner-up to the Miss Malaysia/World 2006 title.

Way to go girl ;) Cheers!

Student bags beauty title” - Article picked up from Thestar.com.my

KUALA LUMPUR: “Unbelievable! In one word, that’s how I would describe tonight,” said mass communications student Adeline Choo, after being crowned Miss Malaysia / World 2006 last night.

In an event that was all glitz and glamour, Choo, 23, was chosen the fairest of them all among 19 finalists at the Sime Darby Convention Centre.

The 170cm-tall beauty will now represent Malaysia at the Miss World pageant in Warsaw, Poland, on Sept 30.

ALL SMILES: Choo (centre) surrounded by (from left) Sim, Mak and Patrick as they pose for photographs after winning their titles in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

She took over the reign from last year’s winner Emmeline Ng.

Asked by celebrity TV host and emcee for the event Asha Gill, “Do you believe beauty comes before personality?”, Choo won the crowd over with this answer:

“I do not deny that the first impression is most of the time judged by beauty. However, I believe beauty has to come from within – beauty compliments a good personality.”

Her confidence helped her to win the RM12,000 cash prize, Shiseido make-up worth RM1,500 and other prizes at the pageant themed Beauty with a Purpose.

“The feeling hasn’t really sunk in yet. I think it’ll finally sink in when I see my face in the papers tomorrow and get calls from my family members and friends,” she said.

First runner-up is Cassandra Athene Patrick, second runner-up is Stephanie Mak and third runner-up is Sim Van Ren. Mak also won the Miss Congeniality title.

This year’s Miss Malaysia / World’s beneficiary is Pink Ribbon Deeds (Pride), which salutes all women who have battled breast cancer.

Pussy Cat Drooled, next is Miss Malaysia/World 2006

I’ve recently discovered that some of my PCD photos have been posted on some other blogs (with credits properly given…thank you), so I decided to share a couple more bigger photos of PCD with everyone.

Check out that cleavage!

“Now drool upon me everyone”

Now I’m done drooling over PCD, I’m really hoping to do some photo shoot at the Miss Malaysia/World pageant (which I heard will be going on today). Problem is, I don’t get invited because I’m not with any media agency. My friend Stephanie Mak, is one of the 2006 finalist and I’m hoping to go support her. She’s a beauty with lotsa talents, talk about beauty and brain. Oh…did I mention that she’s also a ladies champion for 2005 National Foosball Championship? Yep… she is and sorry guys, I’m not giving out her phone number. LOL.

Taken recently during The One Challenge Table Soccer Championship in 1 Utama shopping complex. She was competing in the Ladies Singles.

Pussy Cat Dolls brought down the house

The Pussy Cat Dolls were in town and I managed to catch the performance with some of my noob friends. I managed to get 6 free passes from my brother and instantly it was all taken….except for the last ticket which exchange hands a few times. Here’s how the rest of last night went by.

4:35 PM : Confirm with my brother over the phone regarding the tickets. Bro told me to pick it up from Pyramid’s information counter.

5.30 PM : Picked up Ivin from Sri Petaling, headed straight to Pyramid to pick up the tickets.

6.15 PM : Collected the tickets, adjourn to AsiaCafe to meet up with the rest of my noob friends. Had quick dinner.

7.00 PM : Last ticket was taken by Su Lin but she’s still at home without a transport out. We can’t possibly go fetch her else risking getting caught in the massive jam in USJ area.

7.20 PM : Kohei called saying Min Hsern wanted to have the last ticket if not taken. Told him ticket was taken by Su Lin but she still can’t make it over to AC.

7.30 PM : Su Lin had no choice but to let go the ticket cause she just can’t find any transport to come out. Called Min Hsern and we’re off to Pyramid.

8.00 PM : The traffic was heavier than usual so we got there quite late. For the first time in our lives we had to park at LEVEL 9 of Sunway Pyramid! I’ve never even been any higher than LEVEL 5. Well, it was packed and we had no choice.

8.15 PM : Min Hsern is still outside somewhere in Sunway. Couldn’t get into Pyramid as the jam was really building up. Finally ends up over at the Elephant Walk entrance over the other site of the lagoon.

8.30 PM : 5 of us made it in but we still have to get the last ticket to Min Hsern who was waiting on the other site of the entrance.

8.35 PM : Found out that we have to walk all the way to the other entrance. Myself and Kohei went looking for Min Hsern but it was me who ended up hiking all the way up the Elephant Walk path to the first gate where Min Hsern is. Ok, I was already drenched half way up.

8.40 PM : Min Hsern got in… now we have to walk all the way back to where we left the girls. I about 800-900 meters away.

8.55 PM : Made it back in time to see some buffoons shuffling to Reshmonu’s bangra beat. OMFG! Like what the hell are they thinking?!

9.05 PM : Still drenched…got worst I guess. Made my way in through the crowd to get a better view of the stage. I was armed with my Canon 350D and I wasn’t gonna miss any action.

9.15 PM : The PCD girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!! ( ok ok…that wasn’t me….it was how this noob gay-like fella shouting and jumping beside me when the girls came out! )

And here’s the rest of the action!

These fakeplan Anak Patung Kucing wannabes went on stage. They’re supposed to do some PCD’s bootie shaking moves to win some tickets but this noob (right) beat both of the girls flat! He practically stole the whole show with his spinning jumping spasm-like moves and the crowd loves him.

Managed to capture some guy with a VGA camera phone trying to record the performance. Quite unsuccessful from what I see.

Min Hsern, Kohei, Lisa, Ivin, Cyrus and me … behind the camera ofcourse :P

Oh yah, Su Lin and Poh Seng finally made it to the concert last minute.

We finally headed out from lagoon and straight to Kim Gary for some refreshments. We needed it….BADLY!

The whole performance was a whole lotsa sweating! I can’t help it… the girls are HOT and being inside the crowd is hotter! Even though it was quite a short performance, but the girls really brought the house down. Well done girls!

Happy Birthday Yen Yen

Happy 20th Birthday! Count down to 30th :P
May you get what you wished for!

Pin My Ride

If you have your driving license for quite a some time now, you’ll most probably understand why some people just get so impatient when they are driving. No, there’s no wreckless driving or road-bullying involved here, it’s just the usual yelling and cursing behind your steering wheel.

I admit that I can get pretty impatient on the road especially when I’m my way to or back from work. The traffic on the road gets pretty unfriendly and it gets worst when you’re just slugging behind moron who doesn’t have a sense of direction. I mean like what’s wrong with them? Don’t they know that the broken line in at middle of the road is actually to divide the lanes and not a guideline to their destination. Like come on, make up your mind and stick to one lane. And there’s a reason why signal lights existed… you use them! So you can’t blame me for being impatient, I don’t threaten to mow them down but I just curse alot when I’m behind right behind these morons.

Khor Harn PIN a.k.a Kerol a.k.a Sotong sat in my car last night and he calls me a Chow Ah Beng for swearing so much but I can’t help it (she just got her car recently so she never knew how stressful it can be being obstruct by these morons on the road). I guess her time will come since now she got her new car… but she’ll most probably be in my Die-Moron-Die statistics… noob driver :P

Kan nin na bu eh and niama puki is consider very mild. There’s always niama-puki-kan-nin-na-bu-eh-chow-chi-bai-niama-ka-hai-nin-lau-peh-eh-lor-ar which I only use when I’m really stressed up. Happens once when this moron cut into my path out of a sudden without signaling so I gave him a long honk and when I was oevrtaking his car, he fucking pointed his middle finger at me. Like WTF!!! This moron deserved my fuck-yo-maler-chimchim-you-fucking-moron-you-donno-how-to-fucking-use-
your-fucking-signal-light-ah
feat… oh ya, I added in a middle finger combo which was rather a dangerous feat because I had both hands off the wheel (kids, do not try this on the road).

Chow ah beng or not, this is how we drive on Malaysian road. I hate road rage and I’m definitely no road bully. But every now and then I have to blow off my steam too, having to cope with the traffic condition in KL. So excuse me for being me, kanneh! sien!
