Extreme ‘photoshopping’ may cost you your job

We all the fact by now that, Adnan Hajj, ex-photojournalist for Reuter, manipulated at least some of his photographs before submitting them to the wire service. Adnan has been fired because of his action of altering some of his photos causing Reuter to withdrew 920 photos from him.

Why? Adnan Hajj faked at least two photos and submitted them to Reuters. After Reuter found out the fake photos, Adnan was immediately fired.

Yet in another case, Charlotte Observer photographer Patrick Schneider has lost his job too for manipulating the colors in a photo that appeared in their Thursday’s newspaper.

So from today onwards, do be careful the next time you manipulate a photo. It may cost you your job :P

    Stay original and be original!!! It’s a insult for pro-photographers to have their pic over-edited by photoshops. That might cost you a lot more than your job, you might lost your reputation. So, knockoffs don’t work out for Reuters.
