There’s been plenty of criticism going around banging on FAM on how bad they did. Honestly, we are pretty bad as our FIFA ranking keep rising every year. Even the Ethiopians have better ranking than we do.

As if it’s not bad enough, we are beginning to lose good imported players. The news of Juan Manuel Arostegui leaving MPPJ Selangor came quite a shocker to all of us.The question that came to my mind was, “why buy so many players when you can’t afford the pay them?”. Malay Mail sports editor, Mustapha Kamaruddin wrote an article recently criticising the public and urge the public to give a more constructive criticism on Malaysian football instead of just blaming it all on FAM. I agree, but we definitely don’t need a good constructive criticism for this. Just like the old saying in cantonese, Mou kham tai ko thao chow mou dai kham tai ko mow (if you don’t have a big head, don’t wear such a big hat). It’s just simply bad for any club if the players make it to the public when they are not paid for months.
I’m not a big critic but I do admit that sometimes I do throw some negative comments about Malaysian team. I even supported MyTeam when they were playing against the Malaysia national team. So what are we gonna do about it? What can we do to help Malaysian football? I’m no strategic planner too so I can’t really contribute to the future of Malaysian football, but I’ve done a few analising myself.Let’s take one of the Asian football country that played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, JFA for instance. Why and how did they managed to go so far? How come you see more Malaysians wearing JFA jerseys but not FAM jerseys?
