Old lady knocked down and ran over again and again

This is a very disturbing incident happened in China (I don’t read or speak mandarin that well so pls correct me if I’m wrong).

The old lady in this video was knocked down and ran over a few times by a biggest dumbf*ck driver I’ve ever seen. What the f*ck is wrong with these people? That’s a human being being ran over, not a cat or a dog!!!
This video can be quite disturbing so don’t watch it if you’re not prepared for it.

Desperate Ah Longs : Loan sharks slash interest rates

fp_thestar.jpg I was rather amused by the headline of today’s The Star newspaper. The loan sharks are slashing their interest rates due to stiff competition from banks and pawnshops.

This is why the Ah Longs are getting desperate and they are moving into creative advertising. I’ve recently posted 2 story about Ah Longs. You can read about their unofficial involvement with FIFA during the World Cup and how they are giving out free money to the public.

Here’s a quote from The Star Online.

Another Ah Long from Seri Setia, Petaling Jaya, who wished to be identified as Tommy, said loan sharks also had to be more aggressive in advertising their services.

Lucky Me. Free Money!

I got in early to office this morning. As I step in to my department, something familiar and tempting on the floor caught my attention…

As I walk towards my cubicle, I saw some notes lying on the floor near my desk.

Wow! 3 pieces of RM50 notes.

Since I’m the earliest and no one is around. Without any hesitation, I quickly pick it up.

Lucky me. Free Money…

… NOT! The ‘Free Money’ happens to be a cleverly disguised advertising and marketing tool … business card of Ah Long!

Front a distance, the business cards look like some half folded RM50 note on one side. When I turn it over, that’s when I was dumbfounded. THIS IS SUCH A BRILLIANT IDEA!

Of course, this was staged for my blogging pleasure. I actually found the ‘notes’ back at home on the table lying there for days. My elder brother felt for it thinking that he was so lucky to pick up some free money on the street side. He took it back and left it there to fool the next victim. I must admit that this is a very clever trick. I almost got fool by it if it wasn’t for the few suspicious looking clues (hint 1, 2, 3 and 4).

I brought it over to office to pull a quick one on my colleagues. What I did was, I left the notes lying on the floor just right beside my cubicle. I will call out for anyone who steps in into my department to come towards my cubicle. So far, two person felt for it and we had a good laugh.

So it wasn’t such a lucky day after all but who cares. I had fun!

Some people are just plain stupid

I caught this photo with my phonecam not quite long ago. Ever since MPSJ started re-routing the roads around Subang SS15 area, there was some choatic traffic situation. But eventually, those who frequent will know of the road direction changes and would avoid being caught driving in the wrong direction.

But there is still some idiot roaming around that area. For instance, this black wira aeroback was parked at a designated parking space… but the driver is stupid enough not to see that he’s parking in the wrong direction!

What’s life without the Internet?

Alright, it happened again! Some dingdong cut the Internet cable for the second time! How can this be? Who can be so stupid to repeat the same mistake twice? Well, whoever it is, it left us stranded in our cubicles…rendering us useless for more than 2 hours.

USELESS? Why are we so useless when there’s no Internet connection? Have we come to a stage where technology is no longer something that makes our life more convinient but instead something that burdens us more. Are we all so dependent on the Internet that we just can’t leave without it anymore?

Can a big corporation fall without technology? Yes, I found out that photohgraphy giant, Agfa filed for bankruptcy last year. Why? Because they fall victim of the growing switch to digital photography.

Can relationship be ruined without the Internet. No email, no messenger and no sms… now this is a scary thought. Imagine there’s no mobile phone. Will you still hang around the public phone for hours calling your girlfriend?

What will happened if there’s no Internet Relay Chat (IRC)? Can you still sleep at night without chatting with your Kristin Kreuk net girlfriend or maybe your Brad Pitt look alike boyfriend? No more alter-ego without IRC! Sad huh?

Sad to say this but we’ve all grown too dependent on the Internet. If you think I’m wrong, then tell me when was the last time you actually wrote a letter to anyone?
