Ever wonder why some policeman drives kancil?

… because they can’t drive any bigger car. That’s why!

I read this on today’s newspaper:

Police car kills senior citizen crossing road - from Thestar.com.my

MORNING MISHAP: Policemen directing traffic at the site where Chan (inset) was killed in Falim, Menglembu, yesterday morning. Chan’s body lies under a black plastic bag in the background.

IPOH: A 59-year-old man was killed in an accident involving a police patrol car while he was crossing an unlit road at Falim, near here, yesterday.

The incident allegedly happened while Chan Kam Weng, from Buntong, was on his way home with his favourite dim sum at about 6.20am.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Jalaludin Ibrahim said the policeman driving the car, who began duty at 6am, had claimed it was dark and he could not see the pedestrian crossing the road.

ACP Jalaludin said the case was still being investigated. Chan’s body has since been sent to the Ipoh Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem.

A police officer was on his duty early in the morning when he ‘accidentally’ hit and kill this man in Ipoh. It was 6.20am and the officer claim that it was still early and it was dark then?

Take a look at the picture above and you can tell that something is wrong!! Very wrong! It looks like the incident happened on a trunk road. Now look at the windscreen on the police car, badly smashed! It can only happen if the vehicle is going on a high speed. So it’s 6.20am and it’s dark … so what? Don’t have head lights ah? Cannot drive slower ah?! WTF!!!!

I hope whoever is guilty won’t go unpunish. This is so wrong. The police warn us to be careful on the road; to drive at slower speed especially near festive seasons. Well, look who’s talking! I seriously hate it when they get really ‘active’ only when it’s near festive season.

This news would probably be the ONLY news about this incident. I’m sure we won’t be hearing anything about it in the future.

    Injustice!
