Grey’s 3AM Anatomy

While I’m waiting for season 6 of Smallville and episode 10 of Heroes to finish downloading, I’m currently whipping through Grey’s Anatomy… till 3 AM in the morning.

I gotta work late tonite but there’s still another hour before I get those emails sent to me. So what can I do for the next hour? I watch Grey’s Anatomy and I kinda like it so far. I’m only through episode 3 for now but it’s getting really interesting. Although medical stuff isn’t my cup of tea but since I’ve got nothing to do for now, why not check out some good looking doctors ripping out body parts.

Grey's Anatomy - Season 1

I’ve got 3 seasons to catch but I like what I’m watching so far. Yes, I meant Meredith and Izzie. They are both really hot! Besides that, every episode reminds me how important life can be and how we human beings take our health for granted. How sometimes I took my health for granted! That’s why I’ve decided not to smoke anymore! Life is too short for an extra puff of temporary sedation.

Grey's Anatomy - Casts

Now if you may excuse me, I’ve got 2 more seasons of Grey’s Anatomy to download.

Photos of November Birthdays

It’s time for November Birthday Celebrations. As usual, we have buffet lunch catered and this time round the catering came from Regent Hotel. PJ Hilton screwed up the last catering so my boss decided not to take them anymore…bummer!

First it was the cake cutting ceremony and then we proceed to the cafeteria for the buffet. Here’s some photos from the celebration.

Strange Luck

Hmm… this is strange. As I was about to step into my car this morning, I caught a glance on something bluish underneath my passenger seat. Somehow, the cash that I bitched about last night appears strangely and it was tugged in between my water bottle and the gear lock. I can swear that I’ve looked around and tore the car apart to look for the cash but to no avail. I was pretty upset and frustrated that time. Even Carol didn’t see anything when we were out yumchar last night. She did look around as well but did not see anything… hmmph!

However, I’m glad that I found the cash. I just realised that it was not only RM500, I counted it this morning and it sums up to RM600!!! Whooaa…

What a day, what a day. Talk about strange luck!

Strange Luck
WTF?!??!

Kanneh, Sibeh Sway!

Scenario 1:
Road tax expiring soon. Gotta bank in RM220 for my dealer to help me renew my road tax.

Scenario 2:
Credit card payment due. Gotta bank in RM500 today.

Scenario 3:
Dealer sent text message, I’m blacklisted because I’ve got a summon my old Saga’s faulty 3rd brake light. (I refused to clear it at first because my goddamn 3rd brake light refused to work only when there’s a block. Immediate after I got summoned, the goddamn 3rd brake light was functioning again! @%$#%#%!!!).

That’s another RM300 gone down the drain.

Scenario 4:
Bought a 4 liter Shell Semi-synthetic oil for my car. I have RM500 cash but I didn’t wanna use it; swipe with card instead coz wanna bank in the money for credit card. (fully extending my expenses).

That’s another RM87.

Scenario 5:
After my game, I realised my stash of fifties is gone! FUCK! Either I dropped it at the petrol station or someone took it from my bag when I was playing basketball! Some kids were sitting around the place where I left my bag. I suspect one of them took it. Too bad they are gone. Kanneh!!!

Conclusion:
I’m RM500 short and now I added another RM87 to my credit card debt; I need additional RM300 to pay for my summon before I can renew my road tax which gonna cost me another RM220!!!!

RM500 + RM300 + RM87 + RM220 = SUPER BROKE!!!!

OMG! I still need to bank in RM500 for my card today!!!! WAAHH LANNNNN….SIBEH SWAY AHHhhhhh!! Siennn…

Food Loft - Food For Laugh

Food Loft
The seats near the window overlooking the sea and the food corners.

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to go spend sometime with Julea and most of the time we spent it over on the island. I got to know that FOOD LOFT just recently open up in Gurney Plaza so we decided to give it a try there. FOOD LOFT is the latest addition to Gurney Plaza’s list of tenant and it features local dining experience with a little pinch of class.

Food Loft
Food corners are nicely decorated but drinks counter is kinda sluggish.

Yes, FOOD LOFT is actually a food court serving asian and western favourites with a view. Diners get a good view from the building overlooking the seashore of Gurney drive while dining in a lavishly furnished settings. It’s like chillin out at Modesto’s but with a cheaper price tag on the menu. Then again, the food there isn’t exactly that cheap. I was craving for some pasta so I ordered fettucini carbonara from the western corner. Julea went for Tom Yum Goong and Yen settled Phad Thai from the Thai counter. As for drinks, we had a big bowl of Ice Kacang, watermelon juice and ‘tong yuen’ in ginger soup.

Food Loft
The barcode tag and the lavish settings.

FOOD LOFT provides a barcoded cardboard tag for everyone and once you order your food, it gets stored on the central unit at the payment counter. A unique system that I found out 4 years back from a local bakery/cafe outlet called Pan Bakery in Petaling Jaya. It may sound hi-tech but it’s not entirely that convinient. It took me 15 minutes to order my drink and get my ice kacang.

The food is already on my table when I came to the table. It looks good at first but not everything shiny is gold. I would say the food is moderately tasty but still not up to my expectation. Being in the food heaven of Malaysia, Penang means good food to all of us but sadly, this is not the case. I even overheard (a waitress speaking over the walkie-talkie) that some customer wanted to make a complain to the supervisor.

We didn’t quite finish our food but Julea finished her tom yum soup. I took out a 50 note and there’s no change, abit on the high side. Overall, FOOD LOFT is a nice place with a nice metropolitan concept but it’s still not up to expectation for my taste-buds. There’s definitely room for improvement but I don’t think I’ll be visiting this place anytime soon. Probably when I’m done laughing about it.
