The ill society
Back in 1993, I recalled the case of Mona Fendey who brutally severed Datuk Mazlan Idris into 18 parts shocked the nation. Her trial went on for the next 8 years before she was finally sentenced to death by hanging.
Then came Canny Ong’s rape and murder case back in 2003. Canny Ong was abdupted from Bangsar Shopping Complex and was raped. She was then tied up and murdered in the construction area around Old Klang Road near Taman Dato Harun. It was believed that she was charred to death on June 17.
And the highlights of today’s news is the brutal murder case of a Mongolian lady. I’m still unsure of her name since The Star published it as Altantuya Shaariibuu and NST published as Attantuya Shariibu. But from NST, this lady has got an alias and it is Aminah, so I’m gonna refer her as Aminah. Aminah was shot to death, execution-style and then blown to bits somewhere in Puncak Alam.
Severed. Charred. Blown. GRUESOME!
What has come to our society? Snatch theft. Rape and abduction. MURDER. How can we stop all these social illnesses?

It’s because of the lawlessness in Malaysia, where cops take bribe and don’t do proper investigative work. Criminals believe and they do get away with murder.
That is scary.
