The Midday Laughter

It’s a bright and shinny afternoon in BM so we decided to head down to the island to catch a movie and to shop abit. Anyways, it’s been more than 3 weeks I haven’t step foot on the island.

I took along my Cyber-Shot and we had fun shooting photos of each other doing stupid faces in the car. By that time, I was already on Jalan Dato Keramat. We’re heading to Komtar first to pick up some stuff. When I took at stop at a nearby traffic light, I can’t help but to notice one of the shoplot of the old building is under re-construction. Apparently, the info board says that the owner of the that property is MIC (Malaysian Indian Congress).

I quickly ask Julea that how come MIC is a congress unlike MCA. Then it instantly hit my mind that if MIC were to be an Association, they will be MIA. OMG, ‘Missing In Action’, that’s not a very good acronym for a political body and we started laughing.

That very moment, Julea throw back a question at me, “and do you know why MCA cannot be a congress? Else they will be MCC! All of us burst out laughing non-stop. OMG… the tears…

For those who doesn’t know what’s the joke all about, MCC stands for ‘Mong Cha Cha’ in cantonese and it means ‘Blur Blur’. Definitely not a good idea to be a congress too!

*Note - this happens to be a coincidental joke and it doesn’t have any implication or disrespect to any political institution/body.
