Our beloved Works Minister S Samy Vellu had just announced that effective from 1st Jan 2007, toll price will get a 20-60% hike!

I wasn’t aware of this until my colleague forwarded me an email, listing all the current and the upcoming increased toll prices. This is ridiculous! First, we had to deal with the fuel price hike earlier this year and now we have to face the death penalty travelling on the road! I commute alot on KESAS and Federal Highway everyday, not because I want to, it’s because I have to. It’ll be such a killer for motorists to pay an extra 20-60% increment on toll prices.

Sadly, with all these price hikes we always get a “Go Take A Hike” reply whenever we speak of salary increment. This is a fact of life, THE RICH WILL BE RICHER, THE POOR WILL BE POORER and THE EVERAGE WILL ALSO BE POOR TOO.
