Lunch with Kim Joo-Sung

I had the opportunity to meet one of Asia’s finest football player in KLCC and he’s just simply down to earth. The jovial Kim is a former striker for Korean Football Association (KFA) and he was here in KL for the AFC Asian Cup 2007 Final Draw which was held in in KLCC Convention Centre recently.

Kim Joo-Sung is currently the Director in International Affairs Department of KFA and he was arguably the best asian player back in the late 80s and early 90s. Kim played in AFC Asian Cup (1988, 1996) and in FIFA World Cup (1986, 1990, 1994) and was voted best asian player in 1989, 1990 and 1991 consecutively.

Nicknamed Samson, Kim with his distinct hairstyle is still fresh in the minds of football fans. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet one of Asia’s best player ever.
