No to ‘Fa Cai’

Say no to fa cai. Apparently the fa cai we’ve been consuming in our vegetarian dishes especially during CNY is not so fa cai (prosperous) after all. According to a research group in Hong Kong, consuming black moss or better known as fa cai or fatt choy in cantonese could lead to degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and dementia. I usually don’t eat fatt choy often but once in awhile during CNY. Gosh, this is scary.

I’m not sure about that but I’m not taking any chance. It’s not the ‘fatt choy’ actually make any food taste better or what. ‘Fatt Choy’ itself is tasteless.
