Twister in Malaysia?

Have you ever seen a twister (tornado) forming here in Malaysia?

Twister 1

Twister 2

I was on the Elite highway yesterday and something in the sky caught my attention. An unusual dark cloud was forming and it appears to be some-what like a formation of a twister! Yea, you heard me right, a twister! At first, I couldn’t believe my eyes but when I pull aside of the road to take a few shots of it, the cloud appears to be twisting downwards. What happened after that came as quite a shocker too. As we (Amy & I) were approaching somewhere near where the cloud is (over Putra Heights), it was pouring heavily, as if a storm had just hit us out of no where. So, could that be a twister? I really don’t know. So far there’s no news about it.

The recent drastic change on global climate is raising much concern especially over the Asian region. The devastating tsunami that hit Indonesi, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand in 2004 is still haunting many of us until today.

I’m lucky to be here in Malaysia as such natural disasters seldom occur here. But then again, how sure are we that we won’t be hit by the next wave of tsunami or the next quake in Sumatra won’t jolt us?
