Stupid for You, Marié Digby
Marié Digby was in 1 Utama last night and she was a blast. Julea and myself went over to 1 Utama just to catch a glimpse and hopefully to rub shoulder with this YouTube sensation. Unfortunately, the turnout was too great, we didn’t even get a good spot. Nevertheless, we get the listen to her singing live!
After crowding around for a while, we got hungry and we decided to ditch our spot to go grab some dinner at SushiGroove.

Half way through my Chicken Katsu Don and sushis, we can hear the crowd screaming and cheering. We know very well that she’s out on stage by then. We didn’t missed much as by the time went back to join the crowd, she just started singing ‘Say It Again’ which was the highlight of the whole evening. The crowd went crazy singing along with her.

She sang a couple of songs after that and one of them were ‘Stupid For You’ which is another title I like from her CD.

Then there was this little prize ceremony for a few participants who went up on stage earlier to sing their rendition of ‘Say It Again’. I don’t know who won but I know Roshan from Mix.fm was up on stage with Marié when sent presented the winner with guitar autographed by Marié Digby herself. Yes, the one that she played on stage during the gig….NICE!
Well, its all good although I had to really pushed myself through the crowd to get some not-so-good photos of her from a very odd angle. After her stage performance, it was time to get her autograph and we were not the only people hoping for that.
By the time we got to GAP outlet, there was already a long queue. It was terrible, Julea grabbed on my arms tightly as we pushed through the crowd of fans. Up to a point where we stuck at the same spot for quite a while. We got fed up after a while and decided to leave instead.
On our way out from the crowded line, we bumped into Pietro and Joanne. Pietro then got me a VIP tag and thanks to him…

I finally get to meet Marié Digby up close although I didn’t get to rub shoulder with her… perhaps one day. I got lucky to get her autograph, to those who didn’t…

Hey there!! THank you so much for coming to the show at one utama. It was definitely a wild experience !! I never knew how many people would take the time to come see me play a few songs in a mall
My one regret is that I didn’t have the time I normally do to just stick around and say hello and thank you to each person who came out. At all my other shows, I end up staying for hours doing that and this time, I think we were all taken by surprise with the turnout and even worse — I had to directly leave from there to the airport. Anyway, I guess I have learned a thing or two about how to do things differently next time

Wow Marie’, this is quite a surprise! How did you came about my blog? Anyways, you were great that night. No worries about not sticking around for a little longer. With that kind of turnout, if I were you, I wouldn’t want to stick around for too long either. LOL
