Konsortium express coach caught speeding
This is appalling. This is unacceptable. This is reckless driving and we do not tolerate that!
An express coach operated by KONSORTIUM BAS EKSPRES SEMENANJUNG (KBES) was caught speeding on the North South Expressway. Haven’t they learned from the Bukit Gantang incident in August 2007? 22 lives perished in what we term now as the worst road accident in Malaysian history.
This clip was caught on Sunday, 13th July 2008 at around 6.30pm. This incident happened south-bound, before reaching the Tapah rest area. It was a wet day and yet this express coach was doing around 140 km/h. That’s way way off the speed limit on any PLUS highways.
Here’s the clip showing how fast the express coach was going.
This is not the first time I’ve seen such reckless behavior. Plenty more went uncaught. With the latest fuel price hike, many turn to public transport to travel. Express coaches are the best way to travel but how do you expect the public to ever trust putting their lives on the hand of a reckless driver?
As for Konsortium Bas Ekspres Semenanjung, being one of the bigger express coach operator in Malaysia, is definitely not doing a good job at all. When *touch wood* an accident occurs, who are we going to blame, the operator or the driver? I’ll blame the driver first, for driving recklessly. Then I’ll make sure the operator pays for hiring such an irresponsible and careless driver.
To all the reckless express coach drivers out there, don’t fuck with our lives, you moron!

140km/hr on a wet day? Thats too much isnt it. They should not play with ppl’s lives!
What kind of idiot bastard bus driver is that?! 140km/h ?! Even a normal car shouldn’t run at that speed, moreover it’s a wet day?! What the….
As a frequent user of the PLUS North-South Expressway, I can testify that this is a common occurrence with Konsortium buses.
Konsortium buses also sometimes leave earlier than the scheduled time, leaving passengers who arrive sharp stranded. Konsortium buses also double sell their tickets meaning those passengers with guaranteed bus seat numbers might not get their seats for the allocated time.
This is all first-hand experience.
I got twice experience:
* From Pudu KL to Gelugor Penang…
The express bus only took 3.5 hours to reach the destination including a stop for toilet!!!
One is “Nice express” and the other one of course belong to this “Konsortium express”!!
Nowadays I not dare to take these express buses to back my hometown anymore after happened so many terrible accidents on the highway.
They are just bastards to fool around on our lives!
Hmmm..
Don’t have to go as far as NSE to see these buggers in action. They speed wherever they can, Federal highway, NKVE… You name it.
I got overtaken by an express bus this morning on the NKVE while heading down towards KL after the Damansara turn-off.
wa the bus engine power lah.
must be shell v power. (diesel edition)
Squid, most bigger size vehicles run on big engines and these express coaches are some of them.
The problem is not how big or how powerful the engine is. The problem is they drive way too fast and way too recklessly.
