Review: Altitude (2010)

October 21, 2010 by Galvin Tan in Entertainment with 0 Comments

Altitude (2010) is perhaps the most entertaining Sci-fi horror movie I’ve seen so far in 2010. I was invited for a premier screening of this movie before the actual launch and I must really give it a 8/10 points for entertainment value. Mark my word when I say that the movie was entertaining… I did not say it was good. Do not be fooled by the trailer. There’s nothing scary about this horror movie.

The Plot
After a mysterious malfunction sends their small plane climbing out of control, a rookie pilot and her four teenage friends find themselves trapped in a deadly showdown with a supernatural force.

The Cast
The whole show is about 5 friends in a plane starring Jessica Lowndes, Julianna Guill, Ryan Donowho, Landon Liboiron and Jake Weary. To be honest, I have never heard of any member of these casts but I must say that Jessica Lowndes is really hot.

The Summary
Let’s cut the chase and get straight to the point. IMDb gives a rating of 5.3/10. Altitude is definitely not your Blockbuster reel. It’s perhaps a low-budget B-grade movie that I believed mostly shot in a indoor studio covered with blue screens. At first I thought it was some horror-flick movie but it turns out to be a comedy instead. Well, I was being sarcastic.

Watch it? Well yes, but not in the cinema. Will definitely kill some time watching it … for laughs. I give a rating of 2.0/5.0.
