Angel/Demon captured on Google Map

August 11, 2011 by Galvin Tan in Technology with 1 Comment

Thanks to Google Map and Google Earth, we now get to see many things from around the world. From the silly instructions on Google Map on how to cross to Chinese Taipei from China and to the image of a Naked Woman captured on Google Earth.

Things can’t get any better. Well, perhaps it can.

Recently, there’s a finding on Google Map that apparently captured an image of an Angel or Demon – in fact, it could be both!

I kid you not as you can see it for yourself. Just follow the steps below:

1. Turn on Google Maps (
2. Search for 47.110579,9.227568
3. Find the green arrow, then click Street View
4. Look up 2x and look left 2x. Spot something in the sky…..

To the naked eyes, it looks like a black and pinkish smudge in the sky. To some photoshop ‘gurus’, it’s just bad stitching on Google Map. To some believers, it looks like an Angel and a Demon.

But to me as a Buddhist, the first thing that came to my mind is, that’s probably an image of ‘Guan Yin Pusha’ or better known as the Goddess of Mercy.

So, what do you think it is?
