Sony Unveils Xperia sola with 1GHz dual-core CPU and ‘Floating Touch’ Technology

Sony Mobile Communication announced on Tuesday the new Xperia sola, their latest lineup to their Android devices portfolio. Comes with 3.7-inch Reality Display, NFC and 1GHz dual-core CPU, Sony also features a unique ‘Floating Touch’ technology which enables user a ‘magical’ experience for web browsing.

“Floating Touch’ enables user to simply hover their finger over any web link without physically touching the screen, providing a fun way for user to surf the web. The device also comes with two NFC Xperia SmartTags in the box, which users can use to launch a pre-configured profile on their smartphone. The two SmartTags included with the handset can be personalized with up to 10 different commands.

The Sony Xperia sola is currently loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch with a 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update expected in the summer.

The Sony Xperia sola will be available in three colours – Black, White and Red.
