Fart Out Loud (FOL) with A Flatulence Deodorizer

I bet no one will ever take it seriously when one have to write about this product and to give it a creative headline – as for I, failed miserably too. *snickers*

Flat-D pads are disposable flatulence deodorizer pads that are placed on the inside of your underwear to mask the smell of farts. It can be used daily or as needed and can be used with briefs and panty hose. However, it will not be effective for those who fancy wearing boxers.

So to all serial-farters out there, there’s now a solution for you to FOL (Fart Out Loud… and proud) even when you’re in a public domain. You’re probably getting a lot of eyes staring at you but rests assure that your flatulence will stink no more.

The Flat-D pads are highly recommended for those who can’t control their flatulence. This will eliminate any awkward moments in the lift when a ‘silencer’ is being released.

The Flat-D is available in a pack of 10 for $29.95.

Apple iPhone Turns 5

T.G.I.F – Thank God Is Friday! But today is no ordinary Friday. Today, five years ago , Apple CEO Steve Jobs revealed the Apple iPhone. Five years later, the Apple iPhone remains as one of the top smartphone to date. Now there’s many naysayers in the past but five years after, the Apple iPhone is still as strong, if not stronger.

Happy 5th Birthday, iPhone!

What the Flux! It’s Not the Future Yet?

Yes, if you’re one of them that fell for the hoax, don’t worry, you’re not alone. A photoshopped image of a supposedly ‘Future Date’ from the iconic movie ‘Back to the Future’ went viral yesterday and fooled many fans. The image was shared thousands of times and went viral within hours and it wasn’t the first time.  According to Mashable, the same incident happened in 2010.

I’m a big fan of Michael J. Fox and I’ve watched the trilogy of Back to the Future more than enough to know that this is indeed a hoax. But sadly, I too felt for it. This is because; perhaps I dare to speak on behalf of many fans out there, wants to believe that it is happening now.

The guy behind this hoax claimed that it was just an accident. The widely distributed image was supposedly for a promotional use. It was for a Blu-ray boxset design for a client but was somehow shared all over the social media spaces.

The actual date used in the film is Oct. 21, 2015, so I guess many people will definitely look out for that day to come. I won’t be surprise if the DeLorean makes a comeback three years from now after it was being auctioned last year for $600,000.

Google Unveils Nexus 7 Tablet from Asus

Google cleared the air on the speculation of a new tablet branded Nexus 7 during the Google I/O 2012 conference in San Francisco. This ends the suspend of a leaked photo that has been circulating around the social media spaces hours before the conference. The announcement was made together with the new release of Android 4.1 codenamed Jelly Bean.

The Nexus 7 tablet is built for Google Play, Google’s very own platform for apps and content distribution, a marketplace for all Android devices. It has a 7-inch, 1280×800 HD display, a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 12-core GPU, and 1GB RAM. The tablet will also have a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera with NFC. Google boasts of a nine hour HD movie playback and up to 300 hours of standby time. Truly and amazing achievement (at least on paper) especially as The Nexus 7 only weighs 340 grams.

The Nexus 7 starts at $199 for the 8GB and the 16GB model is available at $249. US residence can now pre-order the tablet starting today from play.google.com and it will ship mid-July. However, there’s no news when the Nexus 7 will be available in Malaysia.

Images of Google Nexus 7 and Nexus Q Leaked Ahead of Google I/O Conference

It has been rumoured that Google is working on its own tablet and finally we’re getting a glimpse of the Nexus 7 after an image leaked from the Google Play Store reveals that the tablet is very much real.

Along came another leaked image of a device called the Nexus Q, supposedly the first social streaming media player. We’re further convinced that these devices are for real when these devices are seen on a YouTube video uploaded just a day ago.

T.G.I.F and Protect Your PCs with Norton 360™

Friday – it’s a day when everyone starts winding down before the weekend and cranking up their social plans…whether its Friday afternoon drinks, sharing ‘Friday funny’ videos and emails or turning to social networks to check what friends are up to on the weekend. Before going into relax-mode this Friday, spare a thought about those new faces joining our social circles online, what information gets shared on public profiles and what the risks might be.

Norton research revealed that adults are spending on average, one whole day (24 hours) a week online – more than one fifth of our waking hours. Two thirds (65%) say they need to log on every day, a quarter (24%) claim that can’t live without the Internet and 41% say they generally need the Internet in their everyday lives. A third (32%) of social network users think they would “lose contact with friends” if they had to live without their social networks. The scope for sharing content is continually growing which in turn, raises the risks. The issue isn’t just confined to computers, with social networking being the most popular online activity through mobile phones.

You wouldn’t share personal information with random strangers in the street, so why do it online?

  • An increasing number of toolkits are helping cybercriminals better exploit existing vulnerabilities in systems and software.
  • Last year Symantec blocked more than 5.5 billion attacks, 81 percent over 2010.
  • The number of unique malware variants increased to 403 million (a 41 percent increase), and Web attacks are up 36 percent.

This Friday, remember to T.G.I.F. !

  • TRUST   – only open emails or links from people you know and trust
  • GUARD – guard your personal information and be careful with sharing updates about your birthday, contact or address details and other sensitive information.
  • INSPECT – inspect your privacy and sharing settings on your social network – these change regularly so it’s good to check
  • FILTER – filter your friends or followers and think twice about who you add to your network.

Stay safe whether you’re online or off! Products and services that Norton offers include:

  • Norton 360 – an all in one security suite that offers superior, easy-to-use protection and backup for all your important stuff
  • Norton Internet Security – a comprehensive security solution that provides advanced protection to surf, bank and shop online without interruption
  • Norton Safe Web – a website rating service which makes it easy for consumers to differentiate safe Internet Web sites from malicious ones
  • Norton Identity Safe – secures, remembers, and automatically enters user names and passwords while protecting users from online threats
