The long-awaited day has come and long queues are already forming outside many Apple stores around the world. Out of the nine countries that will have the iPhone 5 today, Australia was the first country to make the iPhone 5 available to consumers due to its time zone.
James and Tamsyn Vohradsky are brother and sister and both of them were the first in the world to grab the brand new iPhone 5. After queuing up for more than 17 hours outside George Street Apple Store in Sydney, the pair was the first to emerge from the store with the iPhone 5.
James with his black iPhone 5 followed by her sister, Tamsyn with the white version was quickly surrounded by media. Both had to be immediately whisked away into the Apple Store once again to avoid the media frenzy.
The iPhone 5 was scheduled to ship out today to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
