Now we’ve heard of this news for quite some time now about bendable or flexible display for smartphones, but what we did not foresee is that LG will be the first to confirm production of this revolutionary ‘bendable and unbreakable’ smartphone display.
The company has confirmed that it will begin mass-producing a new lightweight 6-inch panel that, it claims, is the world’s first flexible OLED panel for smartphones. It is built from plastic material rather than glass that give it bendable properties, and it is reported that LG could include this flexible screen inside the G Flex, a new 6-inch smartphone set to be announced next month.
It is rather intriguing that LG making a move to announce its first of such product, with Samsung strong tipped to showcase this technology for their upcoming smartphone next month as well. So let’s keep a close watch on this development in the next 30 days or so.
