Superbikes vs Supertolls

When Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu decided to impose a ban on superbikes from the highway, I was wondering what will happen if the ban proposal goes thru.

Many Superbiker enthusiasts already expressed their dismay with the decision not long ago by lashing out at Datuk Seri even before they sat down for a talk. Well, perhaps THAT’S the reason why he is angry and decided to go ahead with the ban.

In a recent news from The Sun newspaper today, Datuk Seri commented that many people called him up and supported his move to ban these Superbikers from the highway. Question is, who are THESE PEOPLE? If it’s so simple to call him and tell him things, can I just call him now to complain that the toll fairs are actually killing me! …. GUESS NOT :P

Well according to the paper, it also mentioned that Datuk Seri said that these Superbikers are a threat on the highway and sometimes hog the road. Well, I can’t agree more with that because sometimes I get the shock of my life on the highway when suddenly a superbike just zoom pass me unexpectedly. On top of that, these superbikers are not paying a single cent for toll. Maybe that’s the reason why he’s pissed. If everyone is riding luxurious high-powered bikes on the highway for free, I guess there’ll be less toll fees to collect.

Somehow I got the feeling that the situation will get worst for everyone, not just the road users. Don’t believe me? I’ve got prove!

We might have to pay toll to go to toilet?

Ok ok, I’m kidding but who knows?? :)

Best Car Alarm System

Every morning I’m rudely awakened by my idiotic neighbour with their house alarm system. Problem with them is their maid keeps forgetting to deactivate the alarm before unlocking the gate to go outside. The neighbourhood usually ignores the whining alarm and get back to bed.

Same thing with car alarms.

Do you remember when was the last time you step out of the house to check on screaming car alarm at 3 o’clock in the afternoon? Or have you ever bother to check the never ending whining of a car alarm in a parking lot? Guess not many of us are bothered as these car alarms are usually triggered by loud vibration from the exhaust pipes of some turbo cars (and sometimes, some cars are just loud).

How effective is a car alarm system nowadays? Will it actually prevent car thieves from breaking into your beloved car? What’s a loud alarm when nobody cares?

My old Proton Porsche Saga is still around and recently it almost got stolen again. It used to have an alarm installed but it’s no longer in working condition. I just recently installed a reasonably good alarm system that cost more than 1K for my V6. It’s fancy and comes with lots of cool function. But question is, will my car be safe even with the new alarm system installed? Technology gets better for car owners but technology is also with the car thieves. We have the tools to protect our cars and at the same time, they have to tools to disable our cars too. I can’t be running to my car whenever my 1K alarm keychain remote starts beeping. Even if I can get to my car, the thief would have gone away with my audio system or perhaps the whole car itself! Immobilizer is great but I’m sure some genius would have come up with an ingenious way to disable that too!

Unless the public plays a role in this crime fighting scene, nothing we own is actually safe.

Sad to say, people can be very selfish. At times, they can be quite a busybody too, checking out things that no longer needs their attention.

How? How do I get the public to play a role to fight car jacking?

Well, I just found the best solution and it involves sex! Goddamnit! LOL

This will definitely get people’s attention….for sure!! Somebody manufacture this freaking cool alarm please!!!!

Makes Me Wonder

I just noticed something.  Not sure if anyone else notice this too but there’s been plenty of road works going on. Many trunk roads have been re-tarred. No more bumpy road and no more shitty potholes…well at least for now.

Question is why?

Oh! Election is around the corner!!! That’s whyyyyy….

Perhaps this is the government’s way of providing better facilities to the public…

or maybe to encourage the public to vote.

Hmm…

Knockoff Showdown

For years, China has been copying and manufacturing the world’s best products, from China’s Chery QQ which has a surprising similarity to the Chevy Spark and the Laiboa SR-V which looks like Honda CR-V’s twin brother. China has been openly stealing from the world.

SR-V and CR-V

But little do I know that the west is also stealing from China too. I spotted something familiar in the recent Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear Louis Vuitton - Runway show.

Here’s the new Louis Vuitton collection by Marc Jacobs.

The leadoff accessories on LV’s Paris runway were plastic tote bags marked with a Louis Vuitton travel stamp. Now here’s the funny part. These bags remind me of those cheap bags that you can find everywhere in the streets of China. LOL, what a knockoff!
