Five Good Reasons to Get the New Samsung Galaxy S3

I am one of the few lucky Malaysians who managed to get my hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S3 before it was made available to public. And after spending couple of weeks with it, I felt like I’ve fallen in love all over again.
I’m not gonna go through all the details about the specs and hardware of the Galaxy S3, you can read all about it from tech blogs all over the internet. However, I’m gonna spend some time here and give you five good reasons why you should get or even consider getting the new Samsung Galaxy S3.
1) Bold Design
Beauty lies in the hand of the beholder. When I first saw images of the Galaxy S3, I wasn’t really impressed. In fact, I felt that the design isn’t all that great at all. Perhaps it’s the rounded edges – or perhaps it’s the plasticky back. Whichever it is, I did not but it.
However, upon lifting it up and holding it for the first time, all negative thoughts immediately faded. The Galaxy S3 is extremely lightweight and feels really comfortable in my palm. The rigid form and the rounded edges are no doubt very different from its predecessor, but it made the Galaxy S3 standout than the rest of the high end smartphones in the market.
2) Crystal Clear Display
The 4.8-inch Gorilla Glass 2 screen is truly amazing. Everything looks bigger and sharper on the Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of the Galaxy S3. Yeah, the screen is not as big as the Galaxy Note, but it is relatively large enough to get your task done without straining your eyes.
3) Quad-Core Power
Quad-Core is the latest buzz in every realm of portable devices. Under the hood of the Galaxy S3 is a Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor which makes everything run extremely smooth. Although it may not be as fast as the HTC One X on paper, I see no vast difference between both devices. You will truly appreciate the speed and power of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
4) Picture Perfect Camera
I love taking photos with the Galaxy S3. Believe it or not, I prefer using it over my professional DSLR camera just because it’s so easy and handy to use. The primary 8-megapixel back camera is absolutely amazing, taking pictures which are as good as on a professional DSLR. It’s easy to use functions and quick focusing really comes in handy. I especially like to take photos on the burst mode. Thanks to the Quad-core processor, you can now capture stunning action photos even without a professional DSLR camera.
5) Motion Controls
Samsung has gone a great length to create a user experience that is out of this world and I’m quite sure they are getting there. Besides the impressive hardware, you have to appreciate some of the smaller details within the smart phone. The Galaxy S3 has several different motion controls that are meant to make it particularly intuitive to use. Whenever you launch an app for which a motion control is available a help screen pops up telling you about it and asking whether you want to enable the feature. For instance, while replying your text messages, you can just simply pick up the handset and immediately you’re calling that person that you’re replying to. It may not look impressive but it sure makes life much easier.

I got the Samsung S3 about a week ago. It’s my first ever smartphone (yes, it took me a while) and I’ll be honest, I was intimidated by it. But once you put this baby in your hand, it guides you and prompts you (like “Hey, I can also do this!” or “Just tilt me to do that”) and from being intimidated, I am, quite plainly, in love.
And hell yes! The camera IS divine!
