Review : Getting Connected With Samsung Galaxy S

Getting onto the Internet with the Samsung Galaxy S is such an ease. Upon booting up for the first time, it will prompt for your choice of data connection plan (depending on your data plan you have). If your simcard is 3G ready and you have subscribed to a data plan package, you’ll be online almost immediately.

I’m connected with Maxis 3G data plan and I’m online immediately after seeting up my connection.  At home, I have the option to either use my WiFi connection of my 3G connection. Connecting on the 3G is pretty fast. I can load my blog site as fast as I’m connected to WiFi.

Using the Samsung Galaxy’s 3G, I get downlink of up to 7.2 Mbps and uplink of up to 5.76 Mbps. The Wi-Fi of IEEE 802.11 can support  b/g/n standards which are pretty useful in near future when I upgrade my home WiFi router to “n” standard.

Samsung Galaxy S allows me to be connected to my friends, family and business associates via my social networking apps. I can also send and receive email easily with my Gmail emails being push to me whenever I’m connected to the Internet.

Internet Tethering is so much easier with Samsung Galaxy’s Mobile AP settings; I can connect to the Internet using my 3G connection on my mobile… and it’s wireless!
