Jothy Sdn. Bhd. director Tharumaraj S/O Sivaperumal filed a civil suit at the High Court registry naming blogger Poh Huai Bin a.k.a SixthSeal and Google Inc as first and second defendants respectively.
Mr. Tharumaraj S/O Siveperumal, as seen on The Borneo Post and The Star Online, is indeed a young looking businessman and probably knows his way around the internet pretty well. It’s perhaps the reason why Jothy’s Fish Head Curry is also found on TripAdvisor.com and Lonely Planet.
For a business with an international recognition, Mr. Tharumaraj S/O Sivaperumal is definitely not acting one. In fact, I strongly feel that he is taking this matter way too easy. Instead of trying to amend what’s wrong, he chose to go after customer who gave bad comments of his restaurant and food. A method which I like to call, If-You-Don’t-Like-My-Food-Complaint-and-I’ll-Sue-You!
Dear Mr. Tharumaraj, if one day you’re reading this article of mine, please don’t sue me. I’m just speaking my thoughts out loud on my personal blog. I believe Mr. Poh Huai Bin was also doing exactly the same.
If your business suffers from bad comments, do something about your food and your business. Don’t go around suing bloggers and customers who comments about your food. Food & Beverage industry is a service industry. You service your customer and they pay you. If customer doesn’t like your food, then you prepare some better food to please them.
If you dare to have an online presence for your business on the internet, do have the guts to take bad comments on the internet too.
