Just as we thought we have seen it all, there are still a few more surprises creeping up just weeks before the big announcement day. New sources are coming in suggesting a more powerful iPhone 5S running on A7 64-bit chip and it will be 31% much faster.
Just two days ago, Clayton Morris from Fox News, posted on Twitter that he had been told that the new processor was super quick. “Sources are telling me the new iPhone’s A7 chip is running at about 31 per cent faster than A6. I’m hearing it’s very fast,” he wrote.
However it is still unclear if the A7 chip will make the cut, but it’s been in testing by Apple. We were told that the 64-bit processing will assist the A7 chip in making animations, transparencies, and other iOS 7 graphical effects appear much more smoothly than on existing iOS Devices.

On a separate report, a new picture from Japan that was published on Sunday indicates that gunmetal could be another new colour for the full-spec iPhone 5S. A picture of a leaked SIM card tray in that color suggests that such a color option will be made available. So far, it would appear that the new iPhone 5S is coming in Black, White, Gold (or Champagne) and Gunmetal. However, I’m still rather skeptical about the latest colour as it could be yet another cheap rip off from China. I will for now, keep an open mind until Apple makes the official announcement on September 10.
