I can’t tell you how excited I am. After 20 years, Bon Jovi is finally back in Malaysia once again and I’m surely not gonna miss his gig. I went to his concert back in 1995 as a teenager and now as a father of two I’m surely not gonna miss the band rocking Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur on 19 September 2015.
If you’re a big fan of Bon Jovi, then go get em’ tickets quick! Tickets are now available for sale online at TicketCharge.com.my and selected outlets around Klang Valley.
Tickets are going for RM888 to RM168 with seated areas and free standing zones. But this is a rock concert so don’t be expecting to sit around and not moving your butt! Even if you wish to sit down, do be warned that you’ll probably be forced to stand up since everyone else will be and they will be blocking you view then.

The Legendary guitarist Slash will be rocking Malaysia once again on February 14th, 2015 at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach! Slash had a gig here in Malaysia with Myles Kennedy not long ago at the exact same venue, and I’m pretty sure this gig will be as good as the one before.
The 49 year-old former Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist will be touring with his band Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators in support of his new album WORLD ON FIRE. Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will be performing in Kuala Lumpur at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach on 14th February 2015 and it is expected to be mad wild. We had a great timerocking to Slash and Myles the last time they were here. Let’s hope this time round the local organisers can do a better job with the zoning and crowd control.
Concert and Ticket Info available below.

“Enter The Afghan”, that would be the title of the movie if I’m ever the director of this movie – if it’s real or if it’s ever gonna happen. This 20-year old Afghan is not just a splitting image of the legend Bruce Lee; he’s also striking some kungfu poses like him too.
This young Afghan, who trains in the ruins of a bombed-out palace in Kabul, is recently an Internet hit when photos and videos of him performing back flips and doing the nunchuks are posted on a Facebook called Bruce Hazara, which the nickname is given to him by his friends. His recent success in at a martial arts tournament in Kabul is another reason why he’s fast gaining some fans.
Abbas Alizada comes from a poor family of 10 children and he wants to be a champion in his country and hopefully one day be a Hollywood star.
I looked and I looked again, I can’t deny Abbas Alizada here looks hauntingly similar to the legend Bruce Lee. From his bowl haircut to his physique, from his stances and tight fitting singlet, he could easily pass as Bruce’s stunt double, if he ever needs one. The only thing giving away is his movement. Giving all the similarity, he is still not as fast and swift as the legend Bruce Lee.
Here’s a special announcement to all U2 fans. In a special Apple Event early this morning, U2 made a special appearance performing ‘The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)’ and after that announced the release of their new album entitled ‘Songs of Innocence’… entirely FREE to download on Apple iTunes.
This is rather an unconventional music deal but it was confirmed that U2 was paid by Apple but no exact amount was divulged. ‘Songs of Innocence’ is U2’s first studio album in five years and the album features 11 songs and is available in 119 countries on iTunes, iTunes Radio and Beats Music.
So what you’re waiting for? Head on over to iTunes now and get your copy for yourself.
Few days ago, comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham announced that he will be making a stop in Malaysia on his first ever tour of Asia. Jeff Dunham is known as “the most popular comedian in the United States” by Time Magazine and he also made it to Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list of most powerful entertainers three years running. But to most of us in Malaysia, Jeff Dunham is better known as the guy who gave us ‘Achmed’ The Dead Terrorist… SILENCE! I KEEL YOU!
Dubbed as Jeff Dunham ‘Disorderly Conduct 2014’ Tour, funny man Jeff Dunham will perform live in Malaysia for the very first time on May 20, 2014 at Sunway Convention Centre. Ticket pricings and details are as follow:
VIP (LIMITED) RM420, Cat 1 RM340, Cat 2 RM270, Cat 3 RM200, Cat 4 RM130. Tickets will be on sale at TicketPro Malaysia from February 25, 2014 onwards. Limited early bird tickets available.
Flappy Bird is dead and gone. But the question of why the app is gone so quickly is still much of a question everyone is asking about, including myself. I am one of them who got to download the app before if was taken down but I was never good with that game. My personal best is still below 2-digits but I’ve seen some friends almost reaching 3-digits score.
I recently came across a video on YouTube that could perhaps shed some light on why the game is pulled off so quickly. The YouTube video which shows a player reaching Level 999 battling against an iconic game character, Mario from Mario Bros.
Could this be the reason why the creator Dong Nguyen decided to pull off the game before Nintendo finds out? That he used Nintendo graphics and characters for his own personal gain? It only make sense because Nguyen is easily making USD50K / day with Flappy Bird but the potential legal suit from Nintendo could take away every from him including the money that he have already pocketed.
But of course, this is just my personal opinion and speculation. Whether it is the reason to it or not, we will never know. Or unless, this video is wonderfully doctored by the guys at pipocaVFX.
I grew up listening to a lot of Nirvana and Green Day during my college days. It was the time of grunge, skate boards and long ponytail hair. My first Nirvana album was ‘Nevermind’ and it was special edition Gold CD album. Unbelievably, that was 20 years ago. Today, Nevermind remains as one of my favourite album with some of the best songs from Nirvana.
If you’re a Nirvana fan too, you’d probably have the Nevermind album too and you’d probably remember the baby on the CD cover. Yep, the baby from Nirvana’s Nevermind album is all grown up now and he recently celebrated his 22nd birthday.
The 22 year old Nirvana baby is Spencer Elden and he’s now a fine art student at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. His father Rick was an artist rigging special effects for Hollywood and he decided let his newborn baby boy appear as a model for an ‘up-and-coming’ band’s new album in 1991. The photo was taken by a photographer friend of his father and there was no model release agreement signed, so Spencer is not getting any royalty from one of the best-selling album from Nirvana. The picture kind of portrays the situation then, ‘never mind’!
Perhaps one of the most touching YouTube clip I’ve seen so far and it’s definitely worthy of an award in the near future. TrueMove, a Thai Telco company recently released a TVC entitled ‘Giving’ and it has been making waves on the social networks. The 3-minute clip can easily put any Hollywood movie to shame and I truly envy the creative agency that came up with this idea. How good? Then you got to watch it for yourself.
This clip is so touching that it can easily put any cool guy to tears. Just read some of the comments left on the YouTube page and see the quirky and yet touching messages left behind. Yep, those damn ninjas are to blame for the tear jerking moments.
If you’ve watched the previous Kick-Ass movie, then you’ve got to watch Kick-Ass 2 simply because the show truly kickass! And I don’t care what people at Rotten Tomatoes have to say because I totally enjoyed the movie and I’m sure many others would too. Kick-Ass 2 is scheduled to be playing in cinemas on August 29 but thanks to Nuffnang, I get to catch the premier viewing 3 days before.
Act like a bitch, get slapped like a bitch.
Kick-Ass heroic antics have inspired more masked vigilantes to come out from within the city to protect the innocent and the weak – prompting the formation of heroes’ league called Justive Forever. However, Kick-Ass heroic act also angered Chris D’Amico (Red Mist) to seek revenge for the death of his father. After taking over his family’s wealth, Red Mist took over a new villain mask and called himself The MotherF**ker. Being super rich and having no superhero skills, The MotherF**ker hired thugs and street fighters and put them into his own league of super villains. Their objective is to kill Kick-Ass.
The nerdy looking Dave Lizewski or Kick-Ass is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Now don’t be fooled by the square-specs and frizzy hair, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is all ripped in Kick-Ass 2, so ladies… try not to drool.
The sweet and ass-kicking Mindy Mcready or Hit Girl is played by Chloë Grace Moretz and she’s all grown up now. Then you have Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes and Donald Faison from Scrub acting as Dr. Gravity. Red Mist or The MotherF**ker is played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
You can get the full cast here.
Now the movie has been rated 18+ in cinemas so you better expect some gruesome scenes – nothing morbid but plenty of blood spewing all over. Although rather violent, it’s truly an action-packed movie with mixed humour especially with the name of the superheroes. The ‘Sick Stick’ is rather funny too. Ok, I’m not going to spoil the whole movie for you but I would highly recommend you to watch Kick-Ass 2 if you enjoyed the previous Kick-Ass movie.
Wine only gets better with age, that’s perhaps the best way to summarise this movie. For those who have watch “Red”, “Red 2” is definitely a must watch. Frank Moses is back again and this time teaming up with old friends and foes to save the world from a great disaster.
For those who haven’t watch “Red” before, I’d suggest you watch the movie first. Do bear in mind that “Red” simply stands for ‘Retired, Extremely Dangerous’, so do expect to see some old farts kicking some young punk a****s. “Red” is a fun action film with lots of banter and wit that underlines the fact that you’re not supposed to take the over the top action too seriously. Much like the movie “The Expendables”, these old, but gold actors and actresses are telling the world that they’ve still got it.
“Red” was originally a comic book miniseries by writer Warren Ellis and artist Cully Hamner about a retired black ops killer named Paul Moses, an over the hill former operative who had been done with the wetwork game for years, wishing only to be left alone to have a quiet life and to try and forget the awful things he had done for his country.
We have a star-studded lineup of older superstars such as Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Anthony Hopkins and the ever sexy Catherine Zeta-Jones. However, some younger and new stars like Mary-Louise Parker, Neal McDonough and Byung-hun Lee are kicking up some action too. You’d probably know Lee better as the Storm Shadow from “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”.
It’s an action-packed movie with non-stop car-chase, gun-firing, fist-fighting and bomb blasting throughout the show with occasional witty banters from the veterans. It is definitely and entertaining movie and worth every single cent for it.
A definitely must watch movie for 2013. I give it a rating of 4.0/5.0.
