Just days after the launch of their teaser video on the new home kit, Manchester United’s new home jersey appears to have leaked online and it looks pretty convincing with the images claiming to show the new Chevrolet-sponsored jersey. Manchester United fans get to catch a first glimpse of what may appear to be the new home kit for 2014/2015 season.

The supposedly leaked images show a red jersey with white and black stripes band around the round-collared neck and sleeves. What’s most obvious is the new sponsor change on the jersey – bearing on the shirt is the iconic Chevrolet logo. It’s been reported that United’s shirt deal with Chevy is worth $560 Million.

Pumped Up for 2013 Fireball World Championship Series Malaysia

2012 Fireball WCS in Taiwan - Team AirAsia- Malaysia

It’s official, we’re in the last quarter of 2013 and the heat is building up. WCS is just around the corner and we’re now feeling the pressure to perform our best once again bearing the Jalur Gemilang embroidered to the t-shirt on our chest.

Although it was a year ago, but it still feels like yesterday, when all thirteen of us went over to Taiwan, rather unprepared, and played our very best for our country. Our arms are sore and our legs are aching beyond words. At times we feel like giving up but we kept each other motivated and push each other further.

At the last day of the tournament, we held our heads high, although losing to Team USA and Kuwait, we walked away as third best in the world along with 4 other world titles.

And now, we have to do it all over again and we must do better than before. The 2013 Fireball World Championship Series Malaysia will take place in Fahrenheit 88 mall and the tournament will run from October 30 to November 3. Once again, we’ll meet old friends and foes (when we’re competing on the table). It will be yet another memorable event and I truly hope that Team Malaysia will shine again.

Malaysia Boleh!

Samsung-Chelsea Brings Joy and Priceless Football Experience to Malaysian Children

[portfolio_slideshow]

In conjunction with Chelsea Football Club’s Here to Play Here to Stay Asia Tour 2013, Samsung and Chelsea FC have teamed up once again to bring the youth football camp to Malaysian children.

This is the fourth edition of the Samsung-Chelsea youth football camp and I’ve been to the last two, all I can say that these children aged nine to 13 from Yayasan Sunbeams Home and Royal Selangor Club is definitely having a great time with the Chelsea youth coaches.

This year, the youth football camp is held, yet again at Chelsea’s Blue Pitch in Damansara Damai, 60 participants learned the tricks of the trade from Chelsea Foundation coaches who have been following the first-team on tour.

Kudos to Samsung and Chelsea FC for making this event a great success.  Most importantly, the kids get to have fun and learn from the best. I hope to see more of such youth football camps in the near future to help develop our grassroots football in Malaysia.

Luis Suarez Mocks His Diving Antics In Hilarious Uruguay TV Advert

Luis Suarez
I’ve never thought that I will post anything on Luis Suarez until I came across this funny TV ad. The Liverpool striker, infamous for his big chomp on Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic, has appeared in a bizarre advert on Uruguayan TV.

Suarez Bites

Suarez stars in the 1-minute TV ad mocking his infamous antics in an office environment, kicking and shoving the office copier and coffee machine and falling down on the slightest touch from his co-worker. As bizarre as it can be, I find it rather brilliant.

While many footballers would have taken the off-season to head down to a beach or something, Suarez on the other hand, has found a way to keep himself busy and brush off the shame in less than a minute.

Usain Bolt Grabs DSLR Camera and Snaps Rare POV Photos

What’s so exciting about being a sports photographer is when you get to capture some rare moments in sports that no one else has. That’s the case for Jimmy Wixtröm of Aftonbladet (Scandinavia’s largest paper) during the final race of the men’s 200m.

The whole world saw Usain Bolt of Jamaica nabbing gold for the men’s 200m race but most did not see the rare moment of Usain Bolt nabbing Jimmy’s DSLR camera and start clicking away of his surroundings.

As a result, Jimmy gets a whole bunch of rare and awesome POV photos taken by Usain Bolt. When other photographers got photos of Usain Bolt celebrating, Jimmy has got himself a DSLR camera loaded with photos taken by Usain Bolt himself. Jimmy was even in one of the photos snapped by Usain Bolt.

Check out more high-res photos at Aftonbladet.com.
