well, ah huay basically got it right on the translation, except for a minor part:

“san ting” is not exactly “3 treasures” but “treasures from the mountain”. in other words, “san ting ka hai bi” means “exotic foood from the mountains and seafood” (山�??海味)

I have been listening to this song everyday in the office! My colleagues cant stand me anymore.. I tried to find the song in my computer but I am unable to find it… But anyway, last saturday I went to this ktv Pub and I delicated this song to everyone there! All of them started to sing along! so nice..

My friends and I heard this song on the streets and we were singing to it night and day, making up the lines. Thanks for putting Ji Pa Ban here!!! I almost died laughing. Nah sih wa uh jit pa ban….

haha….the singer is Malaysian chinese hokkien lang from Penang.
I got his CDs and converted most of his songs to mp3.

His songs reflex a lot on Malaysian Chinese. I see peh hua hee when listens to his song.

Anyone knows abt the title Tua Pek Kong Bang.( Tua Pek Kong Gave Me A Dream) even more livelier then Ji Pak Ban.

Hmmm…Hello Galvin..I browsed through ur blog, n found out there’re nice hokkien song over here. Reali so happy to c pinyin lyrics of these Hokkien songs. I’m not Chinese educated, therefore need pinyin lyrics badly. I’m Cantonese ppl, but mostly hang out wit my Hokkien friends. Everytime during karaoke session, my friends all sang hokkien song whereby I can only sit down n see them sing. Now I’ve found out dat here have my needs! The lyrics! Wuahaha =D.
