Training with the Blues.

Chelsea FC is here in Malaysia as part of their Asian Tour. I got the opportunity to see them train at the Shah Alam Stadium the day before the actual match, which will be on the 29th July 2008.

Even though it was a training session for the Blues, the stadium was crowded with fans all dressed up in blue. It was already quite crowded when I got there around 6.30pm.

Although not the entire squad shown up on this tour but it was good enough with some of their iconic players such as captain John Terry, Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, Petr Cech, Joe Cole, Andriv Shevchenko, Malouda and many more to get their fans screaming and shouting.

I was with my colleague and we managed to get a photo opportunity with Michael Ballack. Too bad I’m the cameraman, I can’t be in the picture :(

Now DO NOT be mistaken, I’m NOT a Chelsea fan. I’m still cheering for Man U for now.

I’m there not to meet the players, but a hero from the 2002 World Cup, Brazilian coach Luis Felipe Scolari.

He led the Brazilian national team (which is also my favourite national team) to victory in the 2002 World Cup. He was also the head coach of the Portuguese national team between 2003 and 2008 taking them to the final of Euro 2004 and fourth place at the 2006 World Cup.

While the rest are pushing around trying hard to snap photos with the players, I took my time taking a photo opportunity with one of my favourite coach, Luis Felipe Scolari.

Will be posting more photos from tonight’s match. See ya!

I was a huge fan back when Mourinho was at the helm. Nonetheless, I would still catch the match live on ASTRO Supersport.

    Jimat duit a bit….

Hey Nini, not sure if I got Ferreira during the match day. Haven’t really sorted out the photos since I’ve been busy after that. Will try to post up the photos by end of the day, ok? Watch this space :)

With the exception of the manager, they are all losers. Anyone ask Terry why he cried like a small child after he proved to world once again that the English can’t take penalties?

Haha..now now Kaz, don’t be mean. John and rest of the team seems rather nice when they visited our office.

Scolari is the only person I took photo with. Didn’t really bother to take with the rest of them although I was rubbing shoulders with them…haha…so to speak :)

Your one lucky man to have gotten the chance of meeting the Blues up front. I dont want to sound rude, but I did request from the stands of the crowd right behind of you to get your group to help me get a signature of Petr Cech, my favourite player in the team.

But I’m still grateful for having the chance to see them in the flash, regardless if there were 15 - 25 meters aways from me.

I hope you dont mind me paying a visit.
    God bless. (:

Hi Jillian, I don’t mean to be rude as well. I’m not aware of anyone calling out for me. Well, it was really really noisy there that night. Glad that you took some great pics too :)

I’m indeed very lucky, having to work for a football confederation, we had the whole Chelsea team visiting us in our office. We got plenty more chance to meet them up close the day when they’re supposed to play Malaysia :)

Great pics there on your facebook :)
